TaskForce Harlech Keeps Populace Safe (CoreWard Daily HoloPress) |

 (Hillyn Trenn reporting) Vor, Fondor, Colonies Region—Vor Spaceport was rocked last evening by waves of small-arms combat, resulting in the Spaceport’s closure for several hours. Incoming reports seem to indicate that last evening’s battle was the end result of an ongoing conflict between local gangs of malcontents and Imperial Task Force Harlech.
What ended as a showdown between an Imperial Stormtrooper Company ‘Broken Wolves’ and a gang of alien pirates began earlier that day as space combat between the INS Gorgon and pirate space-vessel Stellar Envoy, a heavily modified YT-1300 freighter. The all-alien crewed freighter was caught pillaging civilian traffic in the Core, was forced to flee Kuati space by valiant Imperial Naval Staff under the command of Line Captain Opel, and the Gorgon’s Commander Valo Novastar. The Stellar Envoy apparently went aground at Vor Spaceport in a vain attempt to escape, but as all know there is no escape from the New Order’s Justice.
Stormtroopers under the command of Lieutenant Mattran amicably detained the hostile aliens but were unable to prevent a volatile Wookie known only as Rroowick from committing suicide, Imperial Officer Zym Raeden later confirmed to this reporter. Rroowick’s accomplice, the infamous Adarian serial-murdered Dahroc, was taken into custody and transported to an undisclosed Imperial Waystation for further questioning. While being given a routine medical examination the murderous alien viciously assaulted and nearly killed a peaceable I.S.B. Officer and was subsequently, lamentably, put down. The I.S.B. Officer in charge of the peaceable questioning, none other than Leresk Lhal, (reported absent after the disbandment of Task Force Cresh and who reports stated had either been banished to the Outer Rim or promoted to C.O.M.P.N.O.R.’s Select Committee) is apparently active in the Core once again, signaling to all involved that the Imperial Security Bureau is once again actively aiding His Majesty’s Navy and Army in the hunt for pirates within the Commenor Sector.
Lt. Colonel Gruuben Estani, C.O. of task Force Harlech, could not personally be reached for comment. However, the Daily HoloPress was able to learn from his staff that yesterday’s firefight was related to an earlier incident, when the Fast Attack Patrol Ship Cursed Star, also piloted by an insane, murderous Wookie (*not* a human as some eyewitnesses stated, the I.S.B. later clarified) was vaporized in the skies above Kuat after raiding a Core bound passenger liner.
Lt. Mattran is expected to receive a medal for valorous conduct of behalf of the New Order.
All signs point to continued violence as Task Force Harlech proceeds to disband gangs of rampantly violent alien pirates within the Commenor Sector.
